This course will examine child Labor in America from the turn of the century to modern times. Students will trace the development of modern labor laws throughout the last century. Child labor as it exists today in other countries will also be discussed. Students will then look at modern labor practices and investigate how safety concerns may affect what type of jobs they might choose. Additionally, this course will offer a look into how following proper safety procedures on the job can help to make all jobs safer.
